Right click > new tab
That will get you to a mobile-type reply window. However, you won't have any formatting options besides image uploading.

I could comment on the front page. It might be limited to Oppo. I'm now too busy at work to explore for now.

Same issue here. Chrome on win 8.1. Trying out McMike's top tip. Seems to be working.

Testing Windows XP Firefox commenting. Looks ok from here. Is this still an issue? Thanks!

Yes it is though from what I'm reading it might have to do with /?tiger=off I'm able to comment by opening the comment link in a new tab. When I do so I get the "mobile" version of the reply box.
I tried for a week with the new system and I absolutely can't stand the fact that it hides 90% of the discussion.

So wait, you're still using non-Tiger Kinja?

Whenever possible yes. I'm not a fan of seeing 2 discussions per article.

You'll have to turn Tiger on. with ?tiger=on

Sorry to rain on your parade, but it's time for ?tiger=on

Can we upgrade kinja again next week? The all replies needs more definition between threads.

Kinja 1.3 is due next week and you're the project manager. We expect to see some mock ups by the end of the day.

Sounds about like the normal kinja update schedule. I'll get right on it. I must warn you it'll look a LOT like the 1.1 version of kinja.

Have you tried this button? Not trying to be a smartass, but it does show all the comments, not just the ones the Kinja algorithm thinks you should see. And they are now arranged by thread, not one massive comment dump.

Came here to post this. I am glad I scrolled down a bit further before doing so.
The new Kinja has some nits, but it is not bad not that they are displaying threaded comments.

It really isn't. And they really are working to refine it, and they really are listening to the users. Ernie told me that mobile notifications are getting "a new coat of paint" next week, and I'm cautiously optimistic about that.

At the time of my writing this post that button didn't exist. I was ?tiger=off.
